r/lamictal: A community for those prescribed Lamictal, also known as Lamotrigine
What are you guys doing to help with the nausea? started my first dose today and was experiencing nausea as well as exhaustion (weird)
I’ll ask my doctor about it next time I see him, but I’m curious to know if this is common
It usually takes 2 weeks to a month to start taking effect because you have to start on a low dose and work your way up
How to stop it? I increased my dose to 50mg today and I have a mild-medium level of nausea
I see your post was 2018

Emetrol helped take the nausea away and anti-diarrheal pills helped me stay regular and solid
I've been experiencing insomnia, extreme fatigue, obsessive thoughts, increased anxiety, increased depression, nausea, vomiting, shakiness, inability to focus Hey all
Haha damn, this comment is old
I started taking it again recently, and it has worked really well for me
I was on Lamictal as a teen and I don't remember having any side effects
Basically it was like the scene in the movie it, where beverly is in the bathroom and blood it pouring from every orifice of the room/walls
For me it hasn't helped much for social anxiety but definitely helped with depression

Its been a really hard slog for me, and any quicker titrations (as per medical professionals advice) have resulted in unbearable side effects for me (mainly brain fog, tremors, huge mood crashes, s**cidal thoughts etc), and though its taken MUCH longer than I would've initially liked, after a couple of difficult weeks at 100mg (aLOT of crying So I'm trying to figure out if my nausea is due to lamictal, or worse with lamictal
Is this normal to feel this on and off
I have been using marijuana (it is legal where I live) to combat the I'm currently on both and I take them at the same time! I'm prescribed 200mg of lamictal so I take 100mg with Lexapro

No rash that I've noticed

If you're taking it for the mood stabilization there are other options for that as well
i think i've found the right dose bc i don't get nauseous anymore, and it's still a little rough during that time of the month I've been slowly increasing at 25mg every two weeks for 7 weeks now
