Verapamil prolactin

Prolactin (PRL) is a 23 kDa polypeptide hormone secreted by the lactotroph cells of the anterior pituitary gland. Although a prolactin level greater than 250 μg/liter usually indicates the presence of a prolactinoma, selected drugs, including risperidone and metoclopramide, may cause prolactin elevations above 200 μg/liter in patients without evidence of adenoma
